Gary Lofstrom has helped engineers with responses for proposals (RFPs), print collateral and sales presentations.
Engineers, like other professional service people, are very bright and tend to believe they can do it all – including marketing communications. Some of them do rather well at marketing, especially those that have naturally outgoing personalities. Others realize they could use some help, and that’s when the fun begins.
I have found through experience that I relate easily with professional service professionals, such as engineers. There seems to be a natural, easy relationship that develops – perhaps due to my genuine curiosity to understand just how they do what they do. That relationship building allows us to work together and create a strategic marketing plan, devise business strategies and implement tactics that make sense for them.
